This 2016 GMC Terrain SLT is a compact fuel-efficient crossover SUV that is nearly mid-size, and is an alternative to vehicles like the Honda CR-V or its close cousin the Chevrolet Equinox. It offers a great amount of cargo space as well as interior space, without being too large. 2016 is the first update the line has received since the 2010 GMC Terrain released, with a new refreshed exterior, more additional features and options like rear-view camera, and an improved cabin. On the interior, this Terrain has a detailed, premium upholstered leather finish that will maintain its shape and contour over time.
While this Terrain isn’t suited to offroading, it IS more ideal for daily drivers and/or drivers with families. With the second row seat, it can be moved forward to create nearly 32 cubic feet of cargo space, or when folded entirely out of the way a spacious 64 cubic feet. The Terrain’s precision chassis and suspension tuning provide outstanding maneuvering inside and around town.
Under the hood, this Terrain SLT has a 2.4-L 4-cylinder engine that provides plenty of power for daily drivers, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly providing a gentle driving experience. The fuel economy of this crossover SUV is excellent, rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway.
